Brivo: Getting Started

Integrate Brivo for Secure, Automated Access to Your Club

Written by Josh Willey

Introduction

Integrate with Brivo’s secure access control system to manage access across courts, doors, and restricted areas. Each member is assigned a unique PIN code tied to their account. The PIN grants entry based on reservation and event times, or based on membership type for members-only spaces like gated courts, an indoor court building, or a members’ clubhouse. This keeps access precisely timed, which improves security and operational efficiency.

Required Disclosure

You must review and sign a required disclosure, a liability waiver, before Brivo can be enabled for your organization. To request the required disclosure, email the CourtReserve customer support team at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Name of the organization

  • Signer’s first and last name

  • Email address the completed form should be sent to

You don’t fill out the form yourself. The CourtReserve customer support team completes it with the information you provide and sends it to you for signature.

Note: Only a full admin can sign the required disclosure. Sub-admins are not eligible signers.

Getting Started with Brivo

To get started, fill out the Brivo Sales Request Form. After you submit the form:

  1. Your request is sent to Brivo, and their sales team looks for a local dealer in your area. This takes three to four business days.

  2. A Brivo team member contacts you and connects you with the dealer for a site walk.

  3. Once all installation details are confirmed, you receive a quote.

Note: Your proposal must include keypad readers, since members enter a PIN code to open doors.

During onboarding, Brivo guides you through installing your locks and configuring the Brivo Access Portal for your club.

In addition to the CourtReserve integration monthly fee, clubs pay Brivo’s monthly API subscription and the cost of any locks required for their facility. Lock pricing varies by dealer.

If you are new to Brivo, their API feature will be included in the proposal provided by the Brivo reseller. For existing Brivo customers, the reseller should be contacted to obtain a quote for the monthly API subscription cost. Once the subscription or proposal is agreed upon, your Brivo reseller will be responsible for filling out this form: click here.

API Key Form

If you are new to Brivo, the API subscription is included in the proposal from your Brivo dealer. If you’re an existing Brivo customer, contact your dealer for a quote on the monthly API subscription.

Once the subscription or proposal is agreed upon, your dealer fills out the Brivo API Service Access Authorization Agreement. You then complete the following fields:

  • Brivo Solutions using this API - Enter CourtReserve.

  • Developer Account Username - Leave blank.

The next fields can be found in your Brivo Access Portal under Configuration > Account Settings on the sidebar:

  • Brivo Access Account Name - Enter your account name.

  • Brivo Access Account Number - Enter your account number.

The remaining fields are for your primary administrator:

  • Primary Administrator Name - Enter their full name.

  • Phone - Enter their phone number.

  • Email - Enter their email address.

After the form is submitted, it’s sent to Brivo’s API team, who provides your API key.
