INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Understand what a Consolidated Scheduler is and how your Club can utilize it for auto-assigning courts.
Use Cases: System users can utilize a Consolidated Scheduler when they have a large number of courts and/or a large number of multi-purpose courts and want to auto-assign court reservations.
PREREQUISITES
Consolidated Scheduler View - Shows a rolled-up view of courts by type. Ideal for Clubs with many courts, this view highlights availability while minimizing visual clutter.
The Consolidated Scheduler is useful to Clubs who prefer to auto-assign courts when players make reservations. This article explains how to set up this in CourtReserve.
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Step 1: If you'd like to auto-assign courts, the following Booking Settings are required:
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Go to the sidebar menu and click SETTINGS. A new page displays.
Click BOOKING SETTINGS.
Click the General icon.
In Booking Settings, under the General tab, do the following to auto-assign courts:
Allow a member to select a court from Consolidated Scheduler: this should be unchecked for all Memberships if that is your preference.
Enable "Auto-Assigning" of Courts: this should be checked for all Memberships if that is your preference.
Step 2: A Custom Scheduler allows you to select a sub-set of courts to see on your Consolidated Scheduler view. Create a Custom Scheduler as follows:
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Go to the sidebar menu and click SETTINGS. A new page displays.
Click COURT & BALL MACHINES SETTINGS.
Click the Custom Schedulers icon.
Click the Create Custom Scheduler button.
Fill out fields as desired, but ensure for Scheduler Type, you select Consolidated. For detailed guidance on each field, see article here.
CONSOLIDATED SCHEDULER VIEW
On the Admin panel, under SCHEDULERS, you will see your Custom Consolidated Scheduler.
The available courts are in a rolled-up view up so you can easily see how many of each Court Type are available each day and time.
If you click on the available slot, you can manually create a reservation. The system will auto-assign the court type and court and you can override if necessary.
You can also click Create Event to create an event.
When you want to view all courts, regardless of availability, go to the Admin Panel and navigate to Schedulers > Expanded.
USER PERSPECTIVE
When using the Consolidated Scheduler view with auto-assign, players won’t see specific court numbers. Instead, they’ll see the number of available courts for each day and time slot, and a court will be assigned automatically upon booking.
