INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Sync player ratings from DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) into CourtReserve.

  • Use Cases: Use DUPR ratings as Registration Restrictions for Events and Leagues.

DUPR integration requires a paid add-on. The cost is $25/month.

PREREQUISITES

Make sure your organization is set up as a club in DUPR. If you are not a DUPR Club and would like to become one, click here to get more information.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > ADD-ONS.

  3. Scroll down to DUPR Integration and check the box.

In the popup window, read the terms and then click I Agree.

Click the orange Setup button. A new browser tab opens.

On the DUPR page:

  1. Go to the DUPR CLUB ID field.

  2. Paste in your club's ID number. (see below)

  3. Click Save.

After the system user enters the DUPR Club ID, please allow up to 1 hour for records to sync with DUPR information. Most syncs will update in less time.

Locating the club's ID

System users can find the DUPR ID in the DUPR home page URL.

  1. Log in to the club's DUPR account.

  2. Click Clubs on the side menu and locate your club.

  3. Click the club card.

  4. Locate the 10-digit number in the URL. That's the DUPR ID.

  5. Copy the number and paste it into the field on the CourtReserve DUPR page.

Displaying results

The DUPR Audit Log displays updates for all synced members. To open the Audit Log, go to SETTINGS > ADD-ONS and click the DUPR icon.

CourtReserve displays the Audit Log page.

Notes about the Sync process

On the initial sync:

  • Players will only match through the sync if they have joined your DUPR club. Members not in your DUPR club must be linked manually or linked through the Member Portal

  • The sync process matches Player First Name/Last Name to DUPR’s records. If a matching record is not found, an error displays next to that player’s line (e.g. Member with the name Robert Smith was not found.).

  • If a duplicate record appears in DUPR’s system or in your organization, an error displays.

  • If an error occurs, system users can manually link a member’s CourtReserve account to their DUPR ID. (see below)

Disabling Auto-Sync

If your organization would like to manually sync member's ratings, this can be done by unchecking Auto Syncs Players from DUPR. This will allow organizations to manually sync member's ratings when needed rather than having CourtReserve automatically sync ratings.

Manually linking members with their DUPR ID

  1. Go to CourtReserve and open a member's profile page.

  2. Make sure the Details tab is selected.

  3. Scroll down to the DUPR Ratings box and click the Link DUPR Account button.

Enter the member's DUPR ID and click Link.

After the link completes, CourtReserve displays the member's DUPR ratings on the page.

Notes and error messages

  • A manual DUPR player ID Match only syncs if the First Name and Last Name are an exact match.

  • If the name fields do not match, an error message displays when saving the link. To fix the problem, the player should update the name fields in their DUPR name to match their CourtReserve name.

  • When manually linking a member, the system immediately syncs their ratings.

Allow Players to Link their DUPR ID on the Member Portal

Players on the Member Portal can link their DUPR ID through a player verification process on the Member portal.

  1. Go to DUPR Setup

  2. Enable the Checkbox to Allow players to manually link int he Member Portal

  3. Once enabled, players not linked on the member portal will see a yellow button to link their DUPR account

  4. The button will open a dialog box for the user to enter their DUPR login credentials

  5. Once the credentials are input, the member will verify they are linking the correct account.

Reporting

System users can generate reports that filter members based on DUPR ratings.

  1. In CourtReserve, go to the side menu and select REPORTS > MEMBERS.

  2. Scroll down to the DUPR fields.

  3. Choose an option from the drop-down menu to select the ratings included for the report.

Enter a range of ratings for Doubles and Singles. Optionally, enter zero in the From fields to find all members with a DUPR rating.

Scroll down to the Setup Report Output heading. Use the checkboxes to add or remove report fields

Click the Run Report button. CourtReserve opens a new browser tab with the report results. System users can use the menu buttons to export the table (.xlsx or PDF) or email the players.

Events

When creating or editing an Event or League, system users can add a DUPR rating to the Ratings Restrictions field.

  1. Click the Allowed Rating Categories and select DUPR.

  2. Choose which DUPR categories to restrict ratings by: Doubles and/or Singles

  3. Enter the minimum and maximum ratings for Singles and/or Doubles to restrict event registrations.

A player's DUPR rating is only checked at the time of registration. If a player’s DUPR rating moves up or down during an event, they will not be canceled. We recommended that admins review player performance throughout an event if rating accuracy is a concern and manually adjust registration if required.
