Apply a Tax to POS Purchases

  • Use Cases: System users should learn the correct tax obligation and apply that rate to POS items, if applicable.

PREREQUISITES

Know how to create a tax rate and create a POS item.


SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Click POINT OF SALE > ITEM LIST on the side menu.

On the next page, select an item and click the Edit button.

Scroll down to the Tax Rate(s) heading. Click the field and select a tax option. Click Save Changes. Repeat the steps for other items.

FEATURE USAGE - ADMINS' PERSPECTIVE

On the admin side, CourtReserve displays the tax name assigned to each product on the Items table.

FEATURE USAGE - POS PERSPECTIVE

On the POS page, CourtReserve displays the tax in the shopping cart.
