Create Manufacturers

Organize Point of Sale Inventory by Manufacturer

INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: Add POS item manufacturers to the platform.

Use Cases: Systems users set up Manufacturers to assign to inventory items.


PREREQUISITES

Create Item Categories and Items to associate with each manufacturer record.


SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click POINT OF SALES > ITEMS > MANUFACTURERS.

  3. Click the Create Manufacturer button.

  4. Fil in the fields:

    • Name: Enter the manufacturer’s name (required).

    • Assign Item(s) of this category(s) to newly created manufacturer: Select item categories whose existing items should automatically be assigned to this manufacturer.

    • Is Active: Marks the manufacturer as available for use in POS and reporting.

    • Is Eligible for Stringing: Indicates that this manufacturer can be used for the stringing add-on feature.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Repeat the steps to add other manufacturers.

CourtReserve adds the manufacturer(s) to the table.

If using the stringing add-on module, be sure to add string inventory to the POS.
