OVERVIEW

The Time-Based setting is a feature on the Session Info page when creating a new League Session or Editing one. This enables an Admin to set the Match duration of each Rotation. This setting will help keep an efficient pace to ensure Match Rotations are completed on a schedule.

FEATURES OF TIME BASED

Time Limit:

  • Admins can set a specific "Time Limit (Minutes)" for each match. This provides an indicator on the Match cards that a Time Limit is set per game. Note that your facility will need to keep track of the time as this is not an alarm feature that will go off.

Max Score Limit:

  • The setting also includes an option to limit the "Max Score" in a game. We recommend using this setting in order to prevent large point percentage gaps in a league. This feature is useful in such a setup to ensure a more balanced & competitive environment.

Tie Outcomes:

  • With the introduction of the Time-Based setting, there is a possibility that players could Tie. When this setting is Active, Ties will be visible on the Standings page and you can visually see the Tie Symbol on the Scorecards.

Rotations:

  • When Using Time Based, the Rotation system changes slightly. The Rotation Icon will either be 1 or 2 Rotations.

Leaderboard Mechanics in Time Based Leagues:

  • In a Time-Based league, the total points system for the leaderboard is adapted to align with the time-restricted nature of the matches.

Calculating Total Points Won

  • The points scored by the winning team at the end of the match are considered as the total possible points for that particular match.

    • For example, if a match ends with a score of 13 to 5, the winning team's score of 13 is taken as the total possible points for that match.

    • Max Score Setting: If the Max Score setting is applied, the calculation of total possible points remains the same. If a match ends with a score of 12 to 5 and the Max Score was set to 15. The Total Possible points for that match would still be 12.
