INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Set court restrictions (e.g. time, court count, type of court, etc.) and prices at the membership type level.
Use Cases: Configure these settings to manage player/member access to court bookings and implement club price policies. These settings have a direct impact on player/member access to the club facilities, so care should be taken to configure the settings properly.
Module 1 is a four-part quick-start guide highlighting the key steps admins should complete when creating a new membership type for pickleball players. This article is Part 3.
Part 3: Set Booking Rules and Court Costs
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
The first step is to open the General page.
Click SETTINGS on the side menu.
Go to the BOOKING SETTINGS heading and click General. A new page displays.
Enter a default value for all membership types in the Settings column and customize figures for different membership types.
The table on the page shows all current membership types. Click a tab at the top of the page to display different types of settings. Below are a few highlights to configure when setting up a pickleball facility.
CourtReserve automatically copies the values added to the fields on these pages to the matching fields on the Memberships > Membership type pages. Conversely, any updates you make on a membership page also appear here.
General tab
In the screenshot above, players with a Senior Pickleball membership can book a court 14 days in advance. Players with a Family Membership can book a court ten days in advance.
Restrictions tab
Admins control player access to courts at the membership level. Limit access according to total hours, courts, or bookings per day, week, or during prime time hours.
Costs tab
Set court costs for each membership type. The default setting is an hourly rate, but there is a fixed rate option. Admins can configure two payment settings at the membership type level: require payments and require payment profile.
Discounts tab
Optionally, give each membership type access to a number of free court reservations. Court access could be the number of bookings or hours per day, week, or month. Click the Events tab to grant limited free access to one or more specific club activities (e.g. open play, adult camps, round robin tournaments, etc.).
Partial event discounts
It's not possible to offer partial event discounts (e.g. 50% off) on this page. To offer that type of discount, go to the Events page.
Go to the side menu and click EVENTS > LIST.
On the Events page, click the name of an event.
On the next page, click the General tab and scroll down.
Select the Event Setup tab and enter discounted prices for each membership type.
Click Save Changes.
