Create courts and ball machines, or other bookable resources, for your organization.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

Creating a court type

Court Type is a tag that helps users find and sort court facilities. When system users create a court, the Court Type field is required.

System users can optionally create a new type to better describe local club conditions (e.g. Indoor Pickleball Court), or use a pre-created Court Type added in all organizations.

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > COURT & BALL MACHINE SETTINGS > Court Types.

Click the green Create Court Type button. In the popup, enter a court type name and then click Save changes.

CourtReserve adds the court type to the list. Use the buttons to delete a custom court type or edit its name.

Creating a court

To create a court on the system:

  1. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > COURT & BALL MACHINE SETTINGS > Courts. A new page displays.

  2. Click Create Court. A new page displays.

  3. Fill in the fields. (see below)

  4. Click Save changes.

CourtReserve adds the court to the Manage Courts list. Click the Edit button to update court settings. Click the Closure button to close the court and prevent bookings.

Filling in the fields

  1. Enter a unique name.

  2. Enter a short name for the court. (optional) If this field is filled, CourtReserve displays the short name on the member portal instead of the text in the Name Your Court field.

  3. Click the Court type drop-down menu and select an option.

  4. Confirm the Is Visible checkbox. If the box is unchecked, this court is not visible on the member portal. The default setting is checked.

  5. Review the default open and close times (9 am to 9 pm) for each day of the week and customize as required.

  6. Optionally, use the Is Closed checkbox to close a court on one or more days.

  7. Check the Eligible for Waitlist box to activate a waitlist when required for this court.

  8. Click Save changes.

Creating a product category

System users must create a machine category before they can add rental equipment to the system.

  1. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > COURT & BALL MACHINE SETTINGS > Rental Categories. A new page displays.

  2. Click the green Create Rental Category button. In the popup, fill in the fields and click Save changes.

If the club rents equipment at two different price points (e.g. a premium paddle and a beginner paddle), system users should create two different categories. This will allow the club to enter different equipment rental prices. (see below)

CourtReserve adds the category to the list. Use the buttons to edit or delete a category.

Creating rental equipment

To create bookable equipment on the system:

  1. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > COURT & BALL MACHINE SETTINGS > Manage Rentals. A new page displays.

  2. Click Create New. A new page displays.

  3. Fill in the fields.

  4. Click Save changes.

Entering rental prices

System users should open a different page to enter court and equipment rental prices. Go to SETTINGS > BOOKING SETTINGS > Costs. On the new page, make sure the Court Costs tab is selected.

Scroll down to the page and set rates for courts and, if applicable, rental equipment. System users can use the same rate for all membership types or add custom prices for different membership types. Click Save Changes.
