INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Set the start date and times to accept event registrations on the member portal.
Use Cases: This handy feature lets organizations gain precise control over event registration and enhance user engagement by scheduling registration openings strategically.
PREREQUISITES
To set registration start dates and times, system users must 1) create an event (or edit an existing one) and 2) enable the Allow Online Registrations feature (open an event, scroll down to the Event Setup tab, and check the boxes for one or more membership types).
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Open an event page and go to the Event Setup tab. Go to the Drop-Registration Starts or FULL Registration Starts columns.
CourtReserve displays one or both registration columns depending on how the system user configured two settings: Allow Registrants to Register for Single Dates? and Allow Registrants to Register for all Dates?.
There are two ways to create a registration window.
Based on Event Start - Create a time period (e.g. the number of hours, days, or weeks) that ends with the event's start date (e.g. seven days before the start).
Specific Date/Time - Use the calendar and clock icons to select a specific date and time.
System users can apply either registration window type to any membership type. For instance, paid memberships can have an earlier registration start date than free memberships.
Member portal view
Members can see the event on the Event List. CourtReserve adds a countdown so players know when the registration window opens.
