INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: The Home tab in CourtReserve Pulse is a single-screen summary of your club's overall performance for the selected period. It pulls the headline figures from Financials, Utilization, Engagement, and Instructors into one view, then highlights what moved and where your revenue came from, so you have a starting point before opening the other tabs.
Use Cases:
Get a quick read on club performance before a staff meeting or owner call, without opening five separate tabs
Spot what needs attention and what's working well without comparing numbers yourself
See at a glance how concentrated your revenue is across categories like events, reservations, and membership fees
Confirm the same headline numbers you would find on the Financials and Utilization tabs, in one place
OVERVIEW
The Home tab opens by default when you navigate to Pulse, if it is enabled in your Settings tab visibility. It is organized into three areas: a row of KPI cards at the top, a This period at a glance panel in the middle, and a Where revenue came from breakdown at the bottom.
Every figure on Home is pulled directly from its owning tab. The Gross Sales card shows the same number as the Financials tab, Court Utilization matches the Utilization tab, and so on. Nothing is recalculated or shown differently in two places, so you can treat Home as a shortcut to the same data rather than a separate source of truth.
Note: Cards and sections are permission-aware. If your admin access does not include a given tab, for example Financials, the corresponding Home card and any related section are left out entirely rather than shown as zero. A note at the bottom of the tab explains what is missing and why.
NAVIGATION
Log in to your CourtReserve admin panel.
In the left navigation menu, select Pulse.
The dashboard opens to the Home tab by default.
Use the Start Date, End Date, and Interval fields to set your desired date range.
KPI CARDS
The five KPI cards at the top of the Home tab are pulled from their respective tabs and give you a single-glance summary of overall club performance. Each shows the current value for the selected period alongside a percentage change compared to the prior equivalent period. A green arrow indicates improvement; a red arrow indicates a decline.
Gross Sales - Total revenue collected during the selected period. Matches the Gross Sales card on the Financials tab.
Court Utilization - Percentage of bookable court hours with a booking during the selected period. Matches the Court Utilization card on the Utilization tab.
Active Players - Unique players with booking or transaction activity during the selected period, regardless of membership status. Matches the Active Players card on the Engagement tab.
Total Players - All CourtReserve account holders as of the selected end date. Matches the Total Players card on the Engagement tab.
Total Sessions - Total non-canceled sessions taught by instructors during the selected period. Matches the Total Sessions card on the Instructors tab.
Note: For full definitions, formulas, and calculation details behind any of these figures, see that metric's owning tab article.
This Period at a Glance
The This period at a glance panel sorts what changed during the selected period into two columns:
Needs your attention - Metrics that declined compared to the prior period.
Working well - Metrics that improved compared to the prior period.
Metrics that held steady, meaning they showed little to no meaningful change, are collected in a Steady line at the bottom of the panel rather than in either column.
This view is most useful as a first read before you open the individual tabs. Instead of scanning every KPI card across Financials, Utilization, Engagement, and Instructors yourself, the panel groups the movement for you.
For example: If Revenue is up 20.9%, Active Players are up 18.6%, and Cancellation Rate is down 8.2 points, those all appear under Working well. If Retention is down 1.8 points and your member count dropped by one, those appear under Needs your attention, prompting a closer look at the Engagement tab.
Where Revenue Came From
The Where revenue came from section shows a stacked bar breaking your gross sales into your top revenue categories, such as Event Categories, Reservation Types, and Membership Fees, plus an Other catch-all for anything outside those top categories. Your gross sales and net sales totals for the period are shown alongside the bar.
Why It Matters: This gives you an immediate read on how concentrated your income is in a single category. A club generating most of its revenue from one source, such as events, may want to evaluate whether that concentration is a risk worth diversifying against.
For example: If Event Categories make up 54% of gross sales for the period, that tells you your club's revenue is heavily dependent on event and clinic activity rather than day-to-day reservations or membership fees.
Why It Matters
Home gives you a single, at-a-glance snapshot of overall club performance and a first read on where money is coming from, before you dive into the detail available on the other tabs.
What You Can Act On
Scan Needs your attention and Working well before a staff meeting or owner call instead of opening and comparing five tabs yourself. Use the revenue breakdown to spot how concentrated your income is in one category and whether that's a risk worth addressing.
