INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Understand how individual and family memberships differ.
PREREQUISITES
Know how to create an individual membership and families if an organization is creating family memberships.
Overview
Individual memberships are assigned to a single person. System users can create tiers of individual membership types, each with different permissions (e.g. limit the number of guests that can be invited or exclude the player from booking courts during prime time hours).
Family memberships help clubs and organizations streamline member management. Staff can enroll and manage many people under one umbrella account. For families with children, parents can open the member portal and control what permissions their kids have (e.g. prevent a child from logging into the member portal). Just like individual plans, system users can offer tiered family membership plans provide grant different types of permissions. If a member of a family wants to become more active outside the permissions granted by a family plan, system users can assign an individual membership plan. In the case where a member has both an Individual membership, and a Family membership, the Individual membership will always override the family membership's permissions and restrictions on a member's account.
