INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Many organizations create a basic Non-Member membership to allow guests to register for events, classes, clinics, or pay for court rentals. The membership setup determines what access and registration permissions these non-members will have.
“Non-Members” typically refers to players who are allowed to access your club through CourtReserve but with limited benefits compared to full members. These individuals must still be assigned a membership in CourtReserve in order to use the platform.
Use Cases:
Allow non-members to register for events, leagues, classes, or clinics without purchasing a full membership
Enable non-members to book and pay for court rentals at designated rates
Provide limited portal access for occasional or drop-in players
Capture guest contact information for communication and marketing purposes
Control exactly what non-members can access by adjusting reservation rules, costs, and booking permissions
This structure allows organizations to expand participation while maintaining clear boundaries around access and pricing.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Go to Memberships > Create (Individual or Family) Membership.
Go to the General tab, fill in the fields, and and ensure the membership is set to Active.
If you want this to be the default selection for players, check Make This Membership Default for Members.
Under the Membership Price tab, a basic Non-Member membership typically does not include a membership fee, so the Requires Fee? option is left unchecked.
Under the Reservation Rules tab, system users can define the permissions granted to players within this membership type.
For example, if the membership is intended only for event registration, the Allow Members to Book Courts Online option can be unchecked so guests do not have the ability to book court reservations.
On the Costs tab, system users can configure court fees if these players are permitted to book reservations.
The Booking Windows tab allows you to set up time perimeters for when these players can, and cannot, book reservations.
The Portal Settings tab has a lot to consider:
If you want this membership to be visible on the Member Portal for players to select, check the box Is Public. If you want the membership to be assigned only from the Admin Panel, leave Is Public unchecked.
Require Payment when Booking Courts Online means that when a player books a court, they will have 15 minutes to complete payment before the reservation is automatically canceled.
Require Payment Profile When Booking Courts Online requires players to store a credit card, eCheck, or Pre-Authorized Debit on their CourtReserve account to be used for payment.
Don't Allow Member to Cancel /Change Membership removes the player’s ability to cancel or change their membership on their own, requiring them to contact your organization for assistance.
Membership Prerequisite(s) can be used if a player should only see or select this membership after first being assigned a different membership.
USER PERSPECTIVE
If the membership is public, the below is an example of what a player may see from the member portal.
