Push Notifications

Push Notifications are notifications a user will receive through their app. With this feature, player/member notifications are now available through Email, Text, and App.

Setup

How to turn on feature & Costs
Setup > Add-Ons > Push Notifications

The cost for this Add-On is bundled with Text Messages. If Text is already enabled at your organization, there will be no increase to your monthly fee. If you enable Push Notifications and do not have text messages enabled, your monthly fee will increase by $15.

You can send as many Push Notifications as you want within the Add-On's rate. There are no additional fees based on the number of Push Notifications sent.

Once Push Notifications is enabled, click the yellow SETUP button.

TAB 1: Player Notifications

Enabling Push Notifications will enable the notification types for each available category for your MEMBERS/PLAYERS.

  • Active: If this column is enabled, a notification will be generated and your members can opt-in/opt-out

  • Subscribed: Members will be subscribed by default to this notification. Opt-in/Opt-out is available in the Notification Settings on the member portal

  • NOTE: The first time you users open their app, they will be asked to enable notifications for CourtReserve

TAB 2: System User Notifications

Enabling Push Notifications will enable the notification types for each available category for your SYSTEM USERS (Admins/Instructors).

  • Active: If this column is enabled, a notification will be generated and your system users can opt-in/opt-out

  • Subscribed: System Users will be subscribed by default to this notification. Opt-in/Opt-out is available in the Notification tab of the Admin/Sub-Admin's profile

  • NOTE: The first time you users open their app, they will be asked to enable notifications for CourtReserve

Tab 3: Push Notification

In this tab, your organization may upload an additional square logo that will be included in all push notifications. If the logo is not square, you will be prompted to crop your logo.

Bulk Push Notifications

Send notifications in bulk to Members/Users that have the CourtReserve app.

Send a Bulk Push Notification

  1. On the left side navigation, click the MEMBERS tab

  2. Click BULK PUSH

  3. Create your message

    1. Title: Will default to your Organization's name. Can be edited to reflect a short message

    2. Message: Will display as the 2nd line of your push notification.
      Recommend a short & quick note about what you are sending information on
      ​NOTE: If message is left blank your Message (box 2) will be displayed when the user opens their message

    3. Additional Content That Will Display When Opening the Notification (Optional):
      This information will display when a user clicks your message
      If no content is entered, when the Push Notification is opened, it will display the same text as the Message line.

  4. Preview & Review senders

    1. On the next screen will display a preview of your message

    2. Use the available search criteria to find members to send your message to

    3. Select your recipients

      1. NOTES:

        1. Only users who have opted in for notifications and enabled them on their device will appear on this list

        2. Users who are logged in on any device that are part of your organization will appear on this list even if they are currently logged into another organization (Push Notifications look to a device's ID).

    4. Once you have selected your recipients, send your message

  1. After send is complete you can review your notification and the delivery status

  2. Review your past Bulk Push Notifications by clicking the Push Notification History button

Member Portal

  • Logged-in users will receive push notifications to their device's lock screen (dependent on their personal device's notification settings)

  • Clicking the notification will open the CourtReserve app to view the notification and body

  • Clicking the Notifications button at the bottom of the user's app will display a list of past notifications

Audit Log

In your organization's Notifications Audit log is a column designated for Push Notifications and its delivery status.


When Details is reviewed, the Push Notification is shown along with a confirmation of how many devices it was delivered to.

Re-Enabling Push Notifications

If System Users (Admins, Sub-Admins, & Instructors) or members have disabled Push Notifications, but would like to enable them, please check the following place to confirm notifications are enabled.

  1. From the user's device, visit the Notification Center settings, locate the CourtReserve app. The location of Notification Settings may vary by device.

    1. iPhone: Settings > Notifications > CourtReserve

    2. Android: Settings > Notifications > All Apps > CourtReserve

  2. Be sure the device is allowing notifications from CourtReserve.

  3. Open the CourtReserve App and locate More button in the bottom row

  4. For Admins: Click Personal Information
    ​For System Users: Click My Profile

  5. Navigate to the Notifications tab (tab #2)

  6. Confirm the Push Notification column is toggled to ON
