INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: System users learn how to redeem a package on the platform.
Use Cases: Members can pay for club activities with a package.
Packages can be redeemed by members and system users. In both cases, CourtReserve automatically presents the option to redeem punches for any qualifying activity (court time, lesson, or event drop-in). This option is presented when a member or system user opens a payment screen (after hitting PAY on a transaction that qualifies for a current package).
PREREQUISITES
Know how to create a package.
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Log in to the admin dashboard.
Click SETTINGS on the side menu.
Scroll down to the ADD-ONS heading.
Click Manage Add-Ons. A new page displays.
FEATURE USAGE - ADMINS' PERSPECTIVE
To redeem a punch on the admin dashboard:
Open the Transactions page.
Locate the member name and click Pay.
On the next page:
Confirm that the Pay By Package option is selected.
Click the Available Packages field and select the correct package (if more than one option is available).
Confirm the number of required punches for this transaction.
Click Save.
Click Yes in the confirmation popup.
CourtReserve returns to the Transaction table. The table shows the number of punches used for the payment and the Payment Type set to Punch.
If the Payment page does not display a Pay By Package option, the system user should check two conditions.
The member has not paid for the package.
The platform is configured to refuse punches for unpaid packages. Check the setting Allow Package to be Used While Unpaid on the Packages page.
Confirming the punch
System users can confirm the number of punches used by a member.
Open the member profile page and click the Billing > Packages tabs. The table shows the number of used punches.
To see transaction details, click the Punches link. The page shows the package status and a list of punch transactions.
FEATURE USAGE - USERS' PERSPECTIVE
Players can redeem punches from a valid package on the member portal.
The player should go to the Transaction Details tab (Billings > Transactions) and locate a booking. Click the PAY WITH PACKAGE button.
On the next page:
Click the Available Packages field and select the correct package (if more than one option is available).
Confirm the number of required punches for this transaction.
Click PAY.
Confirming the punch
Players can confirm the number of punches used. Go to the Transaction(s) page and click the Packages > Current tabs. The Punches column shows the number of used punches for each package.
Click the link in the Punches column to see package details.
The page shows the package status and a list of punch transactions.
