CourtReserve + DUPR Integration

Add DUPR Ratings to Member Profiles

Written by Ashley Owens

INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: CourtReserve's DUPR integration allows system users to sync player ratings from DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) directly into CourtReserve. Ratings sync in real time via DUPR webhooks, keeping member skill ratings accurate without manual data entry.

In addition to singles and doubles ratings, reliability and five sub-scores are available on both admin and member-facing screens: Career High Singles and Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Age 50+ Doubles, and Age 65+ Doubles. All sub-scores, including reliability, can be used as event registration restrictions.

Use Cases:

  • Automatically sync DUPR ratings for all members in real time. Members must join your DUPR club to qualify.

  • Allow players to self-link their DUPR account through the member portal or mobile app.

  • Display Reliability, Career High, Mixed Doubles, and age-based ratings on member records and in the member portal.

  • Use DUPR ratings and sub-scores as registration restrictions for events and leagues to ensure appropriate skill-level matchups.

  • Generate member reports filtered by DUPR rating to identify and segment players by skill level.

  • Review a full history of rating changes, including sub-scores, in the DUPR audit log.

The DUPR integration is available as a $25/month add-on for Launch plans and is included at no additional cost with Advance, Momentum, and Enterprise plans.

OVERVIEW

CourtReserve's DUPR integration pushes rating updates to CourtReserve in real time via DUPR webhooks whenever a player's rating changes in the DUPR system. This applies to all linked players and ensures that the ratings displayed in CourtReserve reflect the most current data available.

The following DUPR ratings and sub-scores are displayed on member profiles in CourtReserve:

  • Singles - The player's current singles rating.

  • Doubles - The player's current doubles rating.

  • Reliability - Displayed as a percentage alongside the player's singles and doubles ratings. Indicates the statistical confidence behind the rating.

  • Career High (Singles) - The player's highest recorded singles rating.

  • Career High (Doubles) - The player's highest recorded doubles rating.

  • Mixed Doubles - The player's rating in mixed doubles play.

  • Age 50+ Doubles - The player's rating in the 50+ doubles category.

  • Age 65+ Doubles - The player's rating in the 65+ doubles category.

All ratings and sub-scores are visible on the Ratings tab of the member profile in the admin panel, as well as on the Ratings section of the player's Personal Info page in the member portal.

Last-updated timestamps are displayed for DUPR ratings on the member Ratings tab in both the admin panel and the member portal. Each rating container shows the integration ID and the date and time the rating was last updated.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > Additional Features (note for some clubs, this may say Add-Ons).

  3. Scroll down to Integrations > DUPR Integration and check the box.

In the popup window, read the terms and then click I Agree.

Click the orange Setup button. A new browser tab opens.

On the DUPR page:

  1. Go to the DUPR CLUB ID field.

  2. Paste in your club's ID number.

  3. Click Save.

After the system user enters the DUPR Club ID, please allow up to 1 hour for records to sync with DUPR information. Most syncs will update in less time.

Locating Your Club's DUPR ID

There are a few ways to find your club's DUPR ID depending on how you access DUPR:

  • Via Web Browser (Most Accurate) — Log in to the DUPR website and navigate to your club's profile page. Check the URL — your club's 10-digit alphanumeric ID will appear at the end of the web address.

  • Via the App Share Function — Use the Share button within the DUPR app to generate a club link. Your club ID is typically included in the shared link or message text.

  • For New Clubs — Upon approval of your club, DUPR will send a confirmation email with your club details, which will include your club ID.

DUPR Integration Setup Page

The setup page includes an informational notice confirming that DUPR ratings sync in real time as well as the following:

DUPR Club ID - The club's unique DUPR identifier.

Auto Sync Players from DUPR - When checked, linked players will automatically have their ratings updated with the DUPR database. The default setting is checked.

Allow Players to Manually Link in the Member Portal - When checked, players can link their DUPR account from the member portal. The default setting is checked.

Disabling auto-sync

To manually sync member ratings instead of using automatic syncing, uncheck Auto Sync Players from DUPR. This allows your organization to trigger rating syncs manually when needed.

DUPR Activity in the Audit Log

The Audit Log on the DUPR setup page tracks all rating updates for synced members. To open the Audit Log, navigate to Settings > Additional Features and click the DUPR icon.

The Audit Log includes all sub-scores. Each entry records the following:

  • Date - The date and time the rating update was recorded.

  • First Name / Last Name - The member whose DUPR rating was updated.

  • Action Type - Displays as Create or Update.

  • Description - Shows the specific rating change, including previous and updated values for singles, doubles, Reliability, and Career High scores.

Use the Audit Log Filter Criteria at the top of the page to filter activity by date range. To export the log, click Export to Excel to download the results as an .xlsx file.

Notes about the Sync Process

On the initial sync:

  • Players will only match through the sync if they have joined your DUPR club. Members not in your DUPR club must be linked manually or linked through the Member Portal

  • The sync process matches Player First Name/Last Name to DUPR’s records. If a matching record is not found, an error displays next to that player’s line (e.g. Member with the name Robert Smith was not found.).

  • If a duplicate record appears in DUPR’s system or in your organization, an error displays.

  • If an error occurs, system users can manually link a member’s CourtReserve account to their DUPR ID (see below).

Member Profile - Ratings Tab

The Ratings tab on the member profile displays DUPR ratings in two sections:

Current Ratings

  • DUPR - Singles - The player's current singles rating with the Reliability percentage shown as a badge alongside it.

  • DUPR - Doubles - The player's current doubles rating with the Reliability percentage shown as a badge alongside it.

The header for each rating container includes the player's DUPR ID and the date and time the rating was last updated.

Additional Ratings

Displays sub-scores in a separate section below Current Ratings:

  • Mixed Doubles

  • Age 50+ Doubles

  • Age 65+ Doubles

  • Career High (Singles)

  • Career High (Doubles)

Players who do not have a score in a given category will show NR (not rated).

Manually Link Members with their DUPR ID

If a member cannot be matched through the auto-sync, system users can manually link the member's CourtReserve account to their DUPR ID.

  1. Find the member and open their profile.

  2. Select the Ratings tab.

  3. Scroll down to the DUPR section and click Link DUPR Account.

  4. Enter the member's DUPR ID and click Link.

After the link completes, CourtReserve displays the member's DUPR ratings on the page.

Note: A manual DUPR link only syncs if the first name and last name are an exact match. If the name fields do not match, an error message displays. To resolve the issue, the player should update their name in DUPR to match their CourtReserve profile.

Notes and error messages

  • A manual DUPR player ID Match only syncs if the First Name and Last Name are an exact match.

  • If the name fields do not match, an error message displays when saving the link. To fix the problem, the player should update the name fields in their DUPR name to match their CourtReserve name.

  • When manually linking a member, the system immediately syncs their ratings.

Allowing Players to Link Their DUPR ID on the Member Portal and Mobile App

Players can link their DUPR account directly through the member portal or mobile app using a self-service verification process. To enable this, an admin must first turn on the setting in CourtReserve.

Admin Setup

  1. Navigate to the DUPR integration setup page.

  2. Check the box to Allow Players to Manually Link in the Member Portal.

Player Experience

Once enabled, players who have not yet linked their DUPR account will see a Link DUPR Account button on their My Profile > Personal Information page in the member portal and mobile app. From there, the player will:

  1. Click the button to open the DUPR login dialog.

  2. Enter their DUPR login credentials.

  3. Confirm they are linking the correct DUPR account before completing the verification.

Once verified, the player's DUPR account will be linked to their CourtReserve profile.

Player Perspective: Step-by-Step Walkthrough

The following screenshots illustrate what a player sees when linking their DUPR account through the member portal or mobile app.

Member Portal - Ratings Display

Players can view their DUPR ratings on their Personal Information page in the member portal. The layout mirrors the admin view, with Current Ratings (singles and doubles with Reliability badges) and an Additional Ratings section showing all five sub-scores.

Age 50+ Doubles and Age 65+ Doubles only display in the member portal when DUPR returns a value for that category. If no value is received, the age-based sub-score is hidden rather than shown as NR, so players who don't yet have an age-based rating aren't shown a category that doesn't apply to them.

Event Registration Restrictions

When creating or editing an Event or League, system users can add a DUPR rating to the Ratings Restrictions field.

When DUPR is selected as an Allowed Rating Category on an event's registration restrictions, the following options are available:

DUPR Doubles Rating - Set a minimum and maximum doubles rating range for registration eligibility.

  • Doubles Reliability - When checked, set a minimum and maximum Reliability percentage for doubles.

DUPR Singles Rating - Set a minimum and maximum singles rating range for registration eligibility.

  • Singles Reliability - When checked, set a minimum and maximum Reliability percentage for singles.

DUPR Additional Ratings - Individual checkboxes to restrict by sub-score. Each sub-score that is checked exposes a minimum and maximum range:

  • Career High Doubles

  • Career High Singles

  • Mixed Doubles

  • 50+

  • 65+

Understanding Rating Restriction Logic

Event registration restrictions use OR logic across rating categories. A player must meet the requirement for at least one of the selected rating categories to be eligible to register. Reliability is the exception: when a Reliability restriction is set alongside its corresponding rating, the two use AND logic. For example, if both a Singles Rating restriction and a Singles Reliability restriction are set, a player must meet both to be eligible.

Note: Check Restrict based on DUPR only if one exists for the registrant when the system should first check a player's DUPR rating and not consider other rating categories. If the player does not have a DUPR rating, the system will then determine eligibility based on all other selected rating categories.

Note: A player's DUPR rating is only checked at the time of registration. If a player's rating changes during an event, they will not be canceled. Review player performance throughout an event if rating accuracy is a concern and manually adjust registration if needed.

A player's DUPR rating is only checked at the time of registration. If a player’s DUPR rating moves up or down during an event, they will not be canceled. We recommended that admins review player performance throughout an event if rating accuracy is a concern and manually adjust registration if required.

Generating Reports Using DUPR

CourtReserve allows system users to generate member reports filtered by DUPR ratings, making it easy to identify and segment players based on their skill level.

To Generate a DUPR Member Report:

  1. From the side menu, navigate to Reports > Members.

  2. Scroll down to the DUPR fields section.

  3. Use the dropdown menu to select the rating range or criteria to filter members by.

Customizing the Report Output

Scroll down to the Setup Report Output section and use the checkboxes to add or remove fields from your report. To include DUPR data in the results, ensure the DUPR ID and applicable rating fields are checked before running the report.

Click the Run Report button. CourtReserve opens a new browser tab with the report results. System users can use the menu buttons to export the table (.xlsx or PDF) or email the players.
