INTRODUCTION

Feature Summary: The Inventory Valuation Report generates a table showing the estimated value of unsold inventory currently on hand. The report summarizes asset value by category and provides detailed item-level breakdowns.

This report helps clubs understand the financial value of their current POS inventory.

Use Cases: System users can use the Inventory Valuation Report to:

  • Estimate the value of unsold stock

  • Review inventory asset totals by category

  • Analyze average cost versus retail value

  • Identify categories holding the highest inventory value

  • Assist with budgeting and purchasing decisions

OVERVIEW

To run the Inventory Valuation Report:

Navigate to Point of Sale > Reports > Inventory Valuation

The Inventory Valuation Report automatically generates based on current Point of Sale inventory data.

The table displays summary information by POS Item Category, including:

  • Category – The POS Item Category (e.g., Clothing, Food & Beverage, Paddles). Categories can be expanded to view individual item details.

  • On Hand – The total quantity of items currently in stock within that category.

  • Avg Cost – The average cost per unit for items in the category, based on recorded inventory cost.

  • Asset Value – The total estimated cost value of inventory on hand for that category (On Hand × Average Cost).

  • % of Tot Asset – The percentage that this category represents of the club’s total inventory asset value.

  • Retail Value – The total estimated retail value of the inventory on hand, based on the sales price of the items.

  • % of Tot Retail – The percentage that this category represents of the total retail value of all inventory on hand.

If a category contains multiple items, click the plus (+) icon next to the category name to expand and view detailed item-level information. The expanded view includes:

  • Item Name

  • Item Description

  • On Hand Quantity

  • Average Cost

  • Asset Value

  • Sales Price

  • Retail Value

If an item has variations, expand again to see details on each variation.

This drill-down functionality allows administrators to review both high-level category totals and specific product details.
