Feature Summary: Explore is the new tab in the CourtReserve app's footer where players discover clubs, activities, pros, and tournaments near them, whether or not they're logged in. It's how players access the CourtReserve Network.

Use Cases:

A club shows up in Explore only if it uses CourtReserve software, has opted in via the Show on CourtReserve Network toggle in Settings > Organization Settings > CourtReserve Network, allows players to create an account online (member portal enabled), and is located in the current beta area (Florida). If your club's toggle is off, your club won't appear in any of the sections below. See the CourtReserve Network Settings article for details.

Below the search bar, a filter pill shows the current number of players, date, and duration (for example, "2 · Today · 1 hr"). Tapping the pill opens the Who and when panel, where players search by number of players, date, duration, and time of day, and switch between All, My Clubs, and Favorites to scope what the search runs against.

Note: My Clubs only appears once a player is logged in; logged out, the panel just shows All and Favorites.

Why it matters: Favorites give players an easy way to shortlist your club, activities, or tournaments before they're ready to book or create an account, essentially a lightweight shopping cart. For clubs, it means a prospective player might bookmark you today and come back to book later, so it's one more reason to keep your Network listing accurate.

Shows nearby clubs as cards, with sport, distance, courts currently open, and hourly rate. Tapping View all opens the full list, which can also switch to a map view, and shows a Photos via Google badge on any club that hasn't uploaded its own photos.

Why it matters: This is often a prospective player's first impression of your club, a snapshot of what you offer and when, easily bookable. For players, it's a quick way to compare clubs nearby at a glance.

Shows upcoming bookable activities, open play, clinics, leagues, and more, with date, time, sport, location, distance, price, and spots available. Tapping View all opens the full activities list.

Why it matters: This puts your programming directly in front of players who may not be looking for your club specifically, which can help fill open spots. For players, it's a fast way to find something to join nearby.

Shows your instructors as cards with their name, title, home club, and certification and credential tags. Tapping a pro opens a full profile with their bio, certifications, sport tags, and available booking times, right from Explore. Instructor bios were built specifically for the Network; they aren't shown anywhere else in CourtReserve yet. Only instructors with Show on CourtReserve Network enabled on their Instructor Bio tab appear here; that setting is off by default. See the Instructor Bio Tab article for full setup details.

If a club doesn't have Book a Pro enabled for an instructor, that instructor's profile shows a message letting the player know online booking isn't available and to contact the club directly, instead of available times. Example shown here:

Why it matters: This gives individual instructors their own visibility and a direct booking path, which can drive lesson bookings from players who don't already know your club. For players, it's a way to choose a pro based on credentials without needing a referral.

Shows upcoming tournaments with date, sport, event type, hosting club or organization, location, and entry fee. This is only visible on the Network side; tournaments haven't been released inside the regular member portal yet. It's powered by an API feed from Swish; registration happens through Swish, not in the CourtReserve app.

Note: Since this feed comes directly from Swish, tournaments from non-CourtReserve organizations can also appear alongside CourtReserve clubs.

Why it matters: Clubs hosting tournaments through Swish get visibility beyond their own membership. For CourtReserve clubs specifically, a Tournaments tab also appears on their own Network listing, showing their tournaments pulled from the same feed. For players, it's a way to discover competitive play nearby.

The search bar accepts natural phrases, like a sport and a time of day. The filters panel narrows results by sport, day and time, activity type, court type, surface, distance, skill level, who's playing, price, and amenities.

Why it matters: Your Network Settings, courts, sports offered, and amenities, directly determine whether your club shows up when a player filters their search. For players, it's how they narrow results down to exactly what they want.​

Tapping the location name at the top of Explore opens a Where do you want to play? screen, where a player can search by city or zip code, tap Use my location, or choose from a list of popular metro areas.

Why it matters: Clubs in or near a listed metro area may get extra visibility to players searching that area. For players, it's an easy way to check a different area, useful when traveling or helping a friend find somewhere to play.

The bell icon opens the member's Notifications page: a simple feed of push notifications sent to that member across every club they belong to, newest first, over roughly the last week. There are no categories to sort through, just a search box, unread indicators (a red dot), and a Mark all read option. The bell only displays if at least one of the member's clubs uses push notifications; if none of them do, the bell itself won't appear.

Why it matters: This gives members an accurate, searchable record of what they've actually been notified about. For clubs, it means the page reliably reflects what's already been sent, useful when a member says they never got a notification from one specific club.

If your club is enabled on the Network, this is what a logged-out player sees when they tap into your specific listing from anywhere in Explore.

At the top: your cover photo, club name, starting price, sport and total court count, and address. Players can tap the bookmark icon to save your listing to their Favorites, or tap Share to get a public link and QR code for your listing, shareable through any app, email, or social platform.

Five tabs let players scroll through everything your club offers:

Why it matters: This is the fullest view a player gets of your club before ever logging in, everything from your Network Settings, plus real, bookable actions: reserving a court, registering for an activity, booking an instructor, or joining a membership, all without leaving the listing. For clubs, this makes Explore a genuine acquisition path, not just a preview. The Join tab in particular means a prospective player can see your plans and pricing, and even join, before creating a separate account. The Share link gives you a direct, bookable URL and QR code you can use anywhere, social media, email signatures, or printed signage at your facility.

Your club's card looks the same in Explore for everyone, in Locations near you, search results, and everywhere else, whether or not the player is already a member. The difference happens when a player taps into it: a non-member sees the public listing described below, while a logged-in player who's already a member of your club is taken straight to your club's CourtReserve dashboard instead.
