INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Use event filters to create custom event lists. If saved, event filters include a unique URL so organizations can send an event list externally.
Use Cases: This time-saver helps system users create an event list with pre-selected filters to display specific events on a URL. The filters build a list of specific events by hiding activities that do not match a keyword. Optionally, include the filtered list URL in marketing campaigns and social media posts.
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
Go to Settings on the sidebar.
Go to Portal Settings > Website.
Click the Event Filters tab.
Click Create Event Filter.
Fill in two required fields: Name (the event filter label visible on the admin panel) and Navigation Name (the event filter label visible on the member portal). Optionally, enable pre-select filters like Sessions, Categories, and Tags.
Configuring event features
Configure other settings, such as specific Days of the Week, specific Date ranges, and Times of the Day (e.g. create a unique event filter for Monday afternoon clinics).
Event Type can filter Drop-In or Full events. System users can also set up a Pre-filled Search Option.
Suppose an organization hosts a series of summer clinics but does not want to create a unique Event Category for them. System admins can include Summer Clinic in the event's name and then set the Pre-filled Search Option to Summer Clinic. When a member opens this event filter's URL, the event list displays events with Summer Clinic in the name.
