Overview: CourtReserve App Navigation Footer

Learn About the Navigation Footer on the CourtReserve Mobile App

Written by Kim Lehman

Introduction

Feature Summary: The Navigation Footer is a floating navigation bar at the bottom of the CourtReserve mobile app. It gives players a consistent way to reach their club, their calendar, every club they belong to, and their account from any screen, whether or not they’re logged in.

Use Cases:

  • Move between Home, Calendar, My Clubs, and Account from any screen

  • See every club a player belongs to and all their bookings in one place

  • Discover new places to play through the CourtReserve Network™

  • Manage account details, family members, membership, waivers, and billing from the account menu

Overview

The Navigation Footer appears at the bottom of the screen throughout the CourtReserve app. Each option works a little differently depending on whether the player is logged in.

Example of the Navigation Footer:

Note: Clubs with their own branded mobile app see a different set of footer options. See Branded Apps below.

Navigation Menu

  1. Home - Logged in, returns players to the dashboard of the club they’re currently accessing. Players see their alerts from the bell icon at the top of the dashboard and start bookings from the main buttons. Logged out, Home opens the CourtReserve Network, where players can browse clubs and activities near them.

    1. The Navigation Footer works alongside the home screen covered in Overview: Club App Home Screen. For more detail on related topics, see:

      • Club Card - How the club card shows a player’s current club

      • Membership Card - The profile picture, membership type, and check-in QR code shown below the club card

      • Main Buttons - The three main buttons, their default names, and how to rename them

      • Announcements - How Global Announcements display on the home screen

      • My Bookings - How upcoming reservations and event bookings display, including the empty state

      • Explore More - Header Links, Groups, News, Memberships, and other custom or built-in options

  2. Calendar - Logged in, opens the club’s calendar of upcoming activities, such as open play, lessons, and clinics. Logged out, shows a calendar of activities at clubs near the player.

  3. My Clubs - Logged in, opens My Clubs & Bookings, with two tabs: My clubs, listing every club the player belongs to, and Bookings, showing every reservation, lesson, and registration across those clubs. It also includes Discover more play, which opens the CourtReserve Network, and Saved from the network, which shows the clubs, activities, pros, and tournaments the player has saved. Logged out, it shows a prompt to log in, along with Discover more play and any favorites saved on that device.

  4. Account - Logged in, opens the account menu: My Account, Notifications, My Family, My Bookings, Calendar Feed, My Membership, My Waivers, Billing, Payment Profiles, My Clubs, Send Feedback, and Log Out. Logged out, opens the login screen, where players can log in, request a code, or create an account.

Branded Apps

Clubs with their own branded mobile app have the same floating footer design, with a different set of options. The CourtReserve Network isn’t available in branded apps.

  1. Home - Returns to the main dashboard of the organization the player is currently accessing.

  2. Calendar - Opens the organization’s calendar of upcoming events.

  3. + - Opens a Select Action menu for starting a booking. See Booking from the + Button below.

  4. Alerts - Displays push notifications sent by the organization, if the organization uses them for communications.

  5. More - Opens additional features, such as account details, family members, bookings, membership, waivers, and billing, along with a Log Out option.

Booking from the + Button

In branded apps, the center + button opens a Select Action menu with quick access to booking options, such as Events, Book Courts, and Book Lessons. This lets a player start a booking directly from any screen, without navigating back to the home screen first.

Note: The options shown in Select Action match the club’s main buttons on the home screen, so their labels reflect however the club has renamed those buttons. See Overview: Club App Home Screen for more on the main buttons and how they’re renamed.
