Overview
CourtReserve is rolling out the new experience to all clubs. It gives your players a faster, more modern way to use the member portal and mobile app. Pages load quickly and show players what’s happening as they move through the app, and an updated look makes booking, registering, and managing their account easier. The admin panel stays the same.
Players book reservations, register for events, and manage their account the same way they do today. Most screens keep the same layout, so players can find everything right where they expect it.
The mobile app also has a new footer and the CourtReserve Network, which lets players browse clubs, courts, and activities near them whether or not they’re logged in. Starting Monday, November 2, players can also browse the Network online at courtreserve.com/players.
For your club, this means another way for new players to find you, compare your courts and activities, and join. Members who belong to more than one club can move between them and see all their bookings from one place.
New player features from CourtReserve are built for the new experience, so your players get access to these and future features automatically.
What's New for Players
Updated design - A cleaner, more modern look, including an updated reservation experience
Faster and more responsive - Pages load faster and buttons respond more quickly. A loading preview appears while content loads, and buttons show when an action is processing, so players always know what’s happening.
Updated navigation - Collapsible side menus and a quick-jump menu help players move between areas more easily. Account pages on the member portal, such as My Bookings and My Family, also include a side menu with all account options.
New app footer - The mobile app footer now shows Home, Calendar, My Clubs, and Account, whether a player is logged in or not.
CourtReserve Network - Players can search for clubs, courts, and activities near them and filter by sport, court type, price, amenities, and more, in the app or, starting Monday, November 2, online at courtreserve.com/players. Clubs can choose not to be listed from Settings > Organization Settings > CourtReserve Network.
My Clubs & Bookings - Players see every club they belong to, all their reservations, lessons, and registrations across those clubs, and anything they’ve saved from the Network in one place.
Dark theme - Players can switch to a darker color palette from Personal Information > Settings in the member portal or mobile app.
High contrast - Players can turn on stronger borders around buttons and other controls from the same Settings page.
More club information in the mobile app - Players can tap the weather widget to view information about your club.
What Players See
CourtReserve is rolling out the new experience to all clubs over the coming days, and the CourtReserve Network launches for all clubs on Monday, November 2. Players don’t need to log out or update the app. They see the new experience the next time they open the member portal or mobile app.
Where players land when they open the mobile app depends on whether they’re logged in:
Logged in - Players open the app to their default club’s dashboard, the same as before.
Logged out - Players open the app to the Home screen, which shows the CourtReserve Network so they can browse clubs and activities near them.
Note: Clubs with their own branded mobile app keep their current app experience. The new mobile experience and the CourtReserve Network apply to the standard CourtReserve app.
How Your Portal Settings Carry Over
Your existing Portal Settings carry over to the new experience, so your logo, header colors, menu, navigation, footer links, and custom pages appear automatically. To keep the look consistent and easy to read across devices, the new experience handles a few settings for you:
Footer colors - The footer matches your header colors, giving the page a unified look.
Button colors - Your club’s colors appear in key places, such as the home page. Other buttons, such as Register and Learn More, use black for clear, high-contrast readability.
Before and After
The examples below compare the classic and new versions of common mobile app and member portal screens, starting with the mobile app, since that’s what most players use. Players use these screens the same way in both versions. Most screens keep the same layout with an updated look. Your club’s screens may look slightly different depending on your settings and the features your club uses.
Mobile App
The new mobile app has a cleaner, more modern look, with the same screens and options players already know, plus a new footer and the CourtReserve Network.
Home Screen
Example of the Classic Home Screen:
Example of the New Home Screen (top and scrolled down):
What changed: The footer now floats above the page and shows Home, Calendar, My Clubs, and Account. Alerts moved from the footer to the bell icon at the top of the screen. Players can tap the weather widget to view information about your club. Further down the home screen, players can tap Discover more play to open the CourtReserve Network and browse More places to play near them.
App Footer
Example of the Classic App Footer:
Example of the New App Footer:
What changed: The footer now shows Home, Calendar, My Clubs, and Account. Players open their account menu from Account and see all their clubs and bookings from My Clubs. Every player sees the same footer, whether or not they’re logged in. Logged out, Home opens the CourtReserve Network. Logged in, it opens the club dashboard the player is currently using. See examples below.
Create Reservation
Example of the Classic (Left) and New (Right) Create Reservation Screen:
What changed: The date and time now appear at the top in a simple calendar-style graphic, with the full time range shown so players don’t need a separate End Time field. Add Guest and Add Player are now separate buttons. To sign a waiver, players tap the waiver icon next to their name instead of a Sign Waiver(s) link.
Account Menu
Example of the Classic Account Menu:
Example of the New Account Menu:
What changed: The More menu is now the Account menu, and players open it by tapping Account in the footer. Personal Information is now My Account, and My Organizations is now My Clubs. The menu also includes Notifications, so players can manage their notification settings from the same menu, and Send Feedback, so players can share feedback about the CourtReserve Network. Each option has its icon in a small tile.
Event List
Example of the Classic Event List and Filters:
Example of the New Event List and Filters:
What changed: The Filter button is now a filter icon at the top of the screen. In the filter panel, each filter collapses into a section that shows how many options it has, and players can now sort events by name (A-Z).
Light and Dark Mode
Players can turn on Dark Theme or High Contrast from Account > Account Information > Settings. These settings only apply to the player’s own view.

New Screens in the Mobile App
These screens are new to the mobile app, so there’s no classic version to compare.
CourtReserve Network Home Screen
Logged out, Home takes the player to the CourtReserve Network:
Logged in, Home takes the player to the club dashboard they're currently accessing.
What’s new: Players who aren’t logged in open the app to the CourtReserve Network. They can browse clubs and activities near them, search by sport, club name, or activity, and filter by court type, price, amenities, and more. Players can compare clubs before creating an account, then book through the club’s Public Booking without creating an account, or join the club. When players are logged in, Home takes them to the club dashboard they’re currently accessing.
Why it matters: Players no longer need to know your club’s name to find you. A new player searching for a place to play nearby can find your courts and activities, then book or join your club from your listing. Your club and your pros also get public pages that search engines like Google can find. Learn more in the A First Look at the CourtReserve Network™ article.
My Clubs & Bookings
Example of My Clubs & Bookings:
What’s new: My Clubs has two tabs. My clubs lists every club the player belongs to, and Bookings shows every reservation, lesson, and registration across those clubs, sorted by date. It also includes Discover more play, which opens the CourtReserve Network, and Saved from the network, which shows the clubs, activities, instructors, and tournaments the player has favorited.
Why it matters: Members who belong to more than one club can move between them and keep track of all their bookings without switching clubs first.
Member Portal (Desktop)
The new member portal includes the same design updates as the mobile app, adapted for a desktop browser. The member portal also has a few changes of its own, including a side menu on account pages and a default home page for clubs that haven’t added custom content.
Home Page
Example of the Classic Home Page:
Example of the New Home Page:
What changed: Your club’s custom content at the top of the home page stays the same. Below it, news now appears in a News section with a View All link, and your club’s contact information and hours appear in a Location & Hours section that shows whether your club is open now.
Default Home Page
If your member portal home page doesn’t have any custom rows, the new desktop experience automatically displays a home page using your club’s information. You can still add your own content from Settings > Portal Settings > Website > Rows. Learn more about customizing rows.

Create Reservation
Example of the Classic Create Reservation Window:
Example of the New Create Reservation Window:
What changed: The Create Reservation window has a cleaner, more modern look. Players book reservations the same way as before.
Event List
Example of the Classic Event List:
Example of the New Event List:
What changed: Filters now collapse into dropdowns, and players can switch between grid and list views. Event cards show the category and tags together at the top, along with how many dates the event has.
Account Menu
Example of the Classic (Left) and New (Right) Account Menu:
What changed: The account menu has the same options as before, now with an icon next to each option. The menu now has a white background instead of your club’s custom color.
When players open an account page, such as My Bookings, the same options also appear in a side menu on the left, so players can move between account pages without reopening the account menu.
My Family
Example of the Classic My Family Page:
Example of the New My Family Page:
What changed: Family members now appear as individual cards instead of rows in a table, with each member’s role and membership status shown at a glance. A side menu lets members move between account pages, such as My Bookings, My Membership, and Payment Profiles, without returning to the account menu.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can my club turn off the new experience?
No. The new experience is rolling out to all clubs. If you don’t want your club listed on the CourtReserve Network, you can turn off your listing. See the next question.
Can my club choose not to be listed on the CourtReserve Network?
Yes. Turn off Show on CourtReserve Network in Settings > Organization Settings > CourtReserve Network. Players who aren’t logged in won’t see your club in the Network, and your members can still log in and use your club as usual.
Note: The CourtReserve Network settings page is available to all clubs starting Monday, November 2. From there, you can also add photos, an About section, and bios for your pros to your club’s Network page.
How do players who aren’t members book through the CourtReserve Network?
Players book through your club’s Public Booking, now available in the CourtReserve app. They can book without creating an account. Every Network booking follows your Public Booking settings, so review them before Monday, November 2.
Will CourtReserve turn on Public Booking for my club?
If your club qualifies and Public Booking is off, CourtReserve will turn it on for you on Monday, November 2. Learn which clubs qualify in the A First Look at the CourtReserve Network™ article.
Do my members need to do anything?
No. Members don’t need to log out or update the app. Logged-in members open the app to their default club’s dashboard, the same as before.
How does this affect my club’s branded mobile app?
Your branded app gets the new experience, including the updated floating footer design. It keeps its current footer options and doesn’t get the CourtReserve Network footer (Home, Calendar, My Clubs, and Account). The CourtReserve Network isn’t available in branded apps, so players won’t see Discover more play.
Summary
The new CourtReserve experience gives your players a faster, more modern member portal and mobile app, plus the CourtReserve Network to help new players find your club. Pages load quickly, screens have a cleaner look, and players can still find everything where they expect it.
We’d love to hear what you and your players think. Send any feedback to the CourtReserve customer support team.
