INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: System users control member access to club facilities (e.g. courts, ball machines, etc.) at the membership type level.

  • Use Cases: Configuring this page is a key step in platform setup and club operations. Bookable items allow the decision to be made regarding which reservation types, court types, and equipment that members can reserve. For example, system users can grant certain membership types the ability to book different reservation types, court types, or ball machines (resources).

The BOOKING SETTINGS section has several pages. This article describes the Bookable Items page.

SETUP PREREQUISITES

System users need a clear understanding of the club's booking rules and regulations.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

The first step is to open the Bookable Items page.

  1. Click SETTINGS on the side menu.

  2. Scroll down the page to BOOKING SETTINGS and click Bookable Items.

Configuring the settings

The page displays all the membership types and facilities (e.g. court types).

  1. Use the checkboxes to enable and disable permissions by membership type.

  2. Click Save Changes.

System users can add or remove facility and equipment types on the Reservation Types page.

FEATURE USAGE - USERS' PERSPECTIVE

If a member tries to book an item without the required permissions (based on membership type settings on the Bookable Items page), CourtReserve displays an error message.

  • In the screenshot below, a guest tried to book time on an indoor court, but the system user did not grant that permission to the Guest membership type on the Bookable Items page.
