INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Create a pickleball instructor. Describe availability and lesson types.

  • Use Cases: System users also assign permissions to the instructor (e.g. an instructor can also be an admin or sub-admin).


SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS > INSTRUCTOR SETTINGS > Instructors.

  3. Click the Create Instructor button. A form displays.

  4. Fill in the fields. (see below)

  5. Click Save.

Filling in the fields

  • Is Admin? / Is Sub-Admin? - Check one box to assign permissions to the instructor on the CourtReserve platform. Learn how to configure sub-admin permissions.

  • Names / Email / Phone Number - Enter the instructor's name and contact information. Name and email fields are required.

  • Copy Settings From Other Users - This time-saving option copies a different instructor's profile information into this form. Click the field and select an existing user profile.

  • Is Instructor? - If this box is checked, CourtReserve displays a hidden field. (see below)

  • Instructor Type - Click the field and select an instructor type option on the drop-down menu.

  • Instructor background Color / Text Color - Optionally, customize how this user displays on the scheduler.

  • Allowed Lesson Types - Click the field and select one or more options. Click to create pickleball lesson types.

  • Allowed Event Categories - Define where an instructor can work. Click the field and select one or more options. Click to learn more about pickleball event categories.

  • Instructor Availability - Set the instructor's availability for each day of the week and optionally upcoming unavailable times. Click to learn about instructor schedules.

  • Temporarily Disable Online Lesson Bookings - Check this box to prevent members/players from booking lessons with this instructor.

  • Max # of Lessons per Day - Enter a value to limit the number of daily lessons.

  • Unbookable Time Between Lessons - Enter a number to assign break time (in minutes) between lessons.

  • Disable Drag & Drop On Courts Schedulers - By default, the drag and drop feature on the Scheduler is enabled. Check this box to disable the feature on the scheduler for this instructor.

  • Access to Batch Billing - If checked, this system user will have Batch Billing under Transactions on the sidebar, and will be able to manage and generate invoices. Batch Billing must be enabled for this setting to be visible.

  • Show Check-In Alerts - When a member checks into a Self Check-In Kiosk, this admin will see an alert at the top of their screen showing basic information on this member.

  • Allow Scans when User is Logged In - This allows members to scan-in using a barcode scanner while this system user is logged in. This setting only works with a Self Check-In Kiosk setup at your organization.

  • Is Active? - The default setting is enabled, which means the instructor is currently available for events and lessons. Uncheck the box to remove the instructor from future work assignments.
